Utility Assistance

Assistance for past-due Utilities bills are available for low-income households who need assistance with the cost of energy used to heat and cool their homes. Households who meet the following criteria will be considered for emergency assistance with their utility bills:

• If you have not received assistance for utilities in the past 12 months
• If you’ve received an official shut-off notice
• If you meet income eligibility requirements (200% of the federal poverty guidelines, check by clicking here.)
• Applicants must be residents of Anderson County

APPLYING FOR ENERGY ASSISTANCE

If your Household Income is within 200% of the Poverty Guidelines, and you have not received energy assistance in the last 12 months, you may receive assistance as funds are available.
