The Bread Program

The Bread Program provides non-USDA foods to an average of 600 households a month on a weekly basis, as food is available. The households must be income eligible, and live in Anderson County. We are partnered with the regionally based Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee.   They (as well churches, local friends, and city groups) donate food each week to the Anderson County Community Action Commission to distribute to income-eligible (within 200% of the Federal Poverty Income Level) Anderson County Residents.

Food is distributed Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 to 2pm.
